Here are four views of the river valley: First, looking from a wide section of the river toward where we're heading. The sun is to the left.

Here's a second view of the river valley, approaching the outlet. Note the patch of snow high on the right hand bank. The sun's a little highter, and a cloud starts to shadow the hill to the right.

In the third view of the river valley, we've just passed the bank with the snow patch on the right and see another with a couple of patchs, one almost reaching the water's edge, coming up.

This is our fourth and final view of the river valley; we've just passed the bank with several snow patches on the right and are approaching a shadowed bend where the river disappears from sight.
