Jack Pott has a strange, round head and an odd flange around the neck. Oh— he is a pot! One might even say a pothead, but we don't talk about that kind of thing in general company. In any case, this was an illustration for an e-fanzine that a friend of mine, Arnie Katz, put out a while back called Jackpot, which in turn is a reference to the town we live in, Las Vegas. He and his wife Joyce host a twice-monthly gathering of friends under the name the Vegrants, or Las Vegrants, hence the name of the author. Oh, and any resemblance you might find in Mr. Pott to actor Jerry O'Connell is purely acccidental. The lady in the picture doesn't resemble anyone I know, either.
