A friend's chance remark about the "amazing and appalling stories" featured on such shows as Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, et al, led to this evocation of the classic neo-pulp magazine covers of the 50's and later. Uh-- I later learned that I had misspelled the title; it should be Appalling. Two "p"s in that pod. Oh, well... One could say I'm appalled that I should overlook such a thing.
