And Having Writ...
The Moving finger writes; and having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
— The Rubayat of Omar Khayyam, Edward Fitzgerald Translation
I've written a variety of things over the years, from essays to stories to verse—some are better than others, of course, but by the same token, some that I once thought were really good I've since looked at askance and wondered at what I was thinking—or not—at the time. In the collection I've accumulated here, there are none I actively feel are bad, but there are some earlier things that have not, perhaps, stood up well to the passing of time and the accumulation of experience. A number of these are "hidden" behind a link on the page that has some of my better older stuff (which is accessible through the bottom link on the contents page).
The following link takes you to the Table of Contents for the various articles, essays and groups of verse, and you can always get to other areas on the site from the links on each page...
